Ms. Marites Allen scores yet another engaging interview in its May 24th episode of Fun, Fortune, and Feng Shui. Her special guest, Mr. William Kwende, is Chairman and CEO of Agritech Group, a group that is engaged in agro-industrial activities in rural communities in West Africa. Mr. Kwende has a stellar academic background, having attended schools in Senegal, Paris, and the USA, where he obtained his computer engineering degree from Georgetown University. As a former official of the UN International Organization on Migration, he got posted in Geneva and Manila and was involved in special projects throughout Africa and Asia.
Their discussion focuses on highly relevant issues in these times — food production and energy creation. Both areas are pillars of economic development that should be supported by sustainable development goals to ensure that our natural resources do not get depleted.
Sustainable development as Mr. Kwende explains, is the rational use of resources without destroying the environment. As it turns out, the term “sustainable development” has a parallel relationship with feng shui. Both principles involve the balanced use of resources to obtain a meaningful goal.
Mr. Kwende has put this ideal concept into practical application through the various companies under the umbrella of the Agritech Group. Cleo Organics, one of those companies, produces 100% pure and organic shea butter-based skincare products, without resorting to deforestation. This program empowers thousands of rural women in West Africa by providing them a source of livelihood and shares in product sales — a concrete proof of how the world becomes a better place when sustainable development is combined with social responsibility.
And for the exciting part: Frigga Charmed Life will soon launch these breakthrough products on its online platform soon! That’s definitely one reason to follow www.frigga.co.uk and www.frigga.com.ph.
