Marites Allen on how to tame the water tiger in 2022

It will be a year mixed with a lot of roaring luck but a lot of challenges to slay as well when the Water Tiger enters on 1 February (Tuesday). It is not a time to be laidback as either good fortune or the worst of events can strike anytime.

How to move quietly or pounce once an opportunity strikes? In her much-awaited seminar recently held online and where Daily Tribune was among its media sponsors, the UK-based distinguished feng shui master gave her general prognosis about the forthcoming Lunar Year.

This time, Allen gives her individual prognosis for the year, beginning with the luckiest signs or what she calls the “Superstars.”

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, marks the end of the coldest season in the calendar and the start of the Spring Festival — a good time for planting and other new beginnings.

The Years of the Tiger were celebrated in \2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950 and 1938 (every 12 years). The Year of the Water Tiger will end on 21 January 2023.

Now, the Tiger is known as the king of all beasts in China. It is a symbol of strength, highly independent and great adventurers who never back down from any challenge. It represents creativity, dynamism and power.

The Tiger is the third among the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. The 12 zodiac animals in order are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. These signs follow a 12-year cycle.

The Challenging Signs

These signs are not necessarily unlucky but they need to be extra careful this year.

Tiger — 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022

• Trust in the visiting Wealth Star that will help you in most of your financial problems. Have wealth amulets displayed in the Northwest sector of your home. Wearing the ultimate mantra medallions, mantra bangles and mantra rings will put all the bad luck away from your life.
  There could be a sign that you’ll slow down, but just keep on going. pushing for your goals in life. This will be a very good year for you. Things will be better if you remain committed and steadfast for the rest of the year.
  Now, as this the Year of the Tiger, it is but natural that you could also be facing some challenges so you should remain very careful, take care of yourself and (guard against) tensions between family and relationships. And relationships are key because if you lose a relationship with your loved ones, then everything will not be so fine.

Snake —1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013

• The Snake-born faces good fortune in the horizon especially in the wealth and career areas. Luck, travel and education are in the cards. Just be careful with your health. But don’t fret because there will no major issues as long as you follow some of the feng shui protections, including the health and longevity amulets.

Being busy and productive is good but don’t do it too much as it could wear out your overall health and well-being as well.
Look at your inter-personal relationships with your colleagues and even with your families because that will pose a challenge in 2022.

Monkey — 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016

• The Monkey’s year will be unbalanced as this is your conflict year. Try to figure out if it is helpful for you to shift or try new things no matter how hard it could be. I’ve said this in my books (Allen is born in the Year of the Monkey), that I’ve been shifting at the beginning of the year.
  I’ve seen this coming and I’ve been doing a lot of businesses already apart from what I do here.

Now, this could still be an abundant year for you as long as you try to implement all the feng shui charms. Born in the Year of the Monkey in the Year of the Tiger, this is our enemy year and I couldn’t stress enough to still lie low, take it easy and make sure to be extra, extra careful.

Do a lot of charity, make some changes in your life. If you want to move house or move to another place, then do so.
Perhaps you’ll see me with a new look, a new hairdo in the coming weeks to make a shift in my life.

Boar — 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019

• For the Boar, I would say you can benefit from your secret friend, the Tiger. This is the Year of the Tiger, the ruling animal. Enhancing yourself with mantra bangles and amulets could give you smooth and profitable networking prospects.

On the other hand, there will be some moments when you will experience some demoralizing issues. So, just be cool and whatever those situations may be, remember ‘these, too, shall pass.’

Now, for 2022, the Boar should prepare for anything unusual. I could even call this as your year for ups and downs. Throughout the year, you may think everything is fine, you’ve planned for things, but hey, things can go wrong so be ready for that. Even though you are feeling very optimistic, try to make sure you have less expectations to avoid conflicts or anything that could hurt you.

Relationships are very, very important. In 2022, I can say that even great friends and family members — and because of the energy — you could suddenly just cut ties with them.

The Trailblazers

These animal signs could rise to the challenge and do better this year than last year. They have the opportunity to shine but, among the other signs, they should especially guard their health.

Rat —1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020

• The auspicious Victory Star shines on the Rat, giving them a more favorable year compared to the previous one. The first half of the year calls for self-restraint and serious effort to improve your gain and be better equipped.
  Just like the yin and yang of life, some unfavorable stars may throw some challenges in your daily affairs. So keep your cool and apply the “less talk, less mistake” strategy and you can watch those issues fade away. Seek comfort from your loved ones and enhance the Southwest corner of your home to enhance your luck. The Victory Banner amulet will be good for your winning pursuits.

Ox —1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021

• The Ox will have the so-called annual Wealth Star present in your chart and you’re bound for an exciting year. Your career is most favored although, you know, there will be some stumbling blocks along the way but you can rely that you’ll get over them. So stay calm, be honest with yourself and try as much as possible not to be too personal in anything that you do. And just be casual with how things come to you.

This year could be very good for you in terms of love and relationship with the opposite sex, your family members or friends. This could actually deliver for you the good relationship luck. The Oxen can succeed in their careers. They have to handle things carefully though — act rationally rather than emotionally. Be careful with our health; guard against various diseases.

Rabbit — 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011

• For those born in the Year of the Rabbit, brace yourself for possible negativities brought by the hostile energies that indicate heartaches and misunderstanding. Do not despair as there are also possible indications in all other areas of your life.
  Those people born in the Year of the Rabbit will have mixed fortunes: Their luck in love and career is actually good but they need to take care of their health and personal relationships. I would suggest to those born in the Year of the Rabbit — because you have the so-called Argumentative Star in 2022 — to communicate more and avoid misunderstandings with others. This is important because sometimes, whatever you say out there will be misinterpreted. Maybe picking up the phone, call people or see them personally, just trying to solve any instance an issue crops up. You have to try be upright and steadfast in your dealings in order to attract good fortune. The East part of your home will enhance that. Having peace and harmony mantras and amulets are important for you.

Dragons — 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012

• Dragons may expect good tidings due to the Auspicious Star in their chart that could bring luck in love, education and travel. However, just like last year, expect some bumps but these are just minor ones.

Dragons will have good wealth fortune, only if you want to and if you want to strive hard for it in 2022 because you have the so-called Special Stars visiting you for the year. Your performance is especially good because of your hard work. Whatever you put out there will eventually bring back good fortune for you.

You can expect a good harvest from personal finances especially if you’ve been following the advice of that luck mentor who will also give you an increase of income luck as well. Stay optimistic and wear accessories with mystic luck or double luck and these symbols will work wonders for you.

When dealing with colleagues, I will advise Dragon people to avoid arguments at all costs. Some people are just jealous of you. We have never seen a dragon in our lifetime and if we do see a successful Dragon-born person, the tendency is to be jealous of them. So, just take it easy and be careful with what you say.

The Superstars

These are the signs that will excel this year.

The Superstars, yes the ones who will roar this year are the Horse, the Sheep, the Rooster and the Dog. “These are the ones whose stars will shine in 2022. They will have the good luck in their careers and even the wealth luck as well.”

Horse — 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014

• “As long as you keep your mind focused, you will be among the winners in 2022. You are blessed with the so-called Future Prosperity Star which can provide auspicious blessings and good fortune in 2022.

“This is actually a good time to make a shift for new beginnings displaying the Victory Horse and any fame and popularity enhancing charms in, displaying it in the South, will be very good for you. The overall forecast of the Horse, I would say, is very steady and you can climb up the ladder slowly but surely.

Now, Horse people will do well in their careers so whatever you aspire for, make sure you go for it. I would say if you do your hard work very well, if you do your share for the community, you will have more opportunities and promotions as well.

Due to your emotional state, your heart, your mind could be perceived as complicated. To avoid conflict, try to be careful and make sure to clear your head. It’s best for you to go out, have a break during your busy time. And, you know, you’ll come back to your work clear-headed as well.

Sheep — 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015

• The bad energies by your conflict sign last year have passed. You may expect favorable conditions this time when lucky stars visit you. I would say specifically that you will experience a rise in your careers and achieve great outcomes. Again, the yin and yang of life, there will be chances or days when you can be joyful and there will be days when you’ll feel a bit sad.

However, one of the things that you’ll have to be extra careful is your health. You could be one of the superstars of the year but then your health is your greatest hurdle for the year. Look after yourself by wearing the health wu lou or medicine mantras in yourself.

Generally, it is a better year for the Sheep after the Ox last year. I would say the personal relationships will be improved (in terms of) dealing with difficulties last year. You are a winner already, having to come through the year of the Tiger. I would expect you to have a smoother career development and at the same time, I would like you to pay specific attention to your health. Sheep-born people, make sure you look after your health.

Rooster —1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017

• The year of the Rooster can still expect amazing rewards despite threats of robbery or possible injury. Some favorable stars will be with you throughout the year. Just be careful of your karmic actions to ensure that manifestations will be in your favor. Prevent any of these negative influences with the tai sui plaque or anti-robbery amulets. Place in the West sector. Now, the overall forecast of Roosters in 2022 is very good.

At work, Roosters will get recognition from their bosses and get good support from everyone else because it is possible for a Rooster to rarely encounter any difficulties. I know that in the Flying Star chart of the year, the Rooster direction, which is the West has the Robbery Star, but as long as you have the anti-robbery mantras and accessories that you will wear will really help you. Dog — 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018

At the same time, Dog-born people need to activate the Northwest sector of their home or office because that is one of the luckiest sectors for the year. It could bring a lot of good surprises so try to bring in some victory amulets or good fortune charms as well.

Now, the Dog will enjoy success in 2022. In fact, it is your loyalty and optimism that will contribute to your achievements in business and whatever you’ll do with your career, even your relationship luck.
