The London media has just discovered Marites Allen as a bona fide feng shui resource person. After being featured in Soul&Spirit magazine, a foreign-language newspaper with a wide distribution in England followed suit and published an article on a relatively unknown feng shui application. Angliya, a Russian weekly newspaper wrote about choosing haircut styles according to feng shui.

Did you know that there is a feng shui hairstyle selection technique? It turns out that straightening curls or, conversely, curling straight hair is not always worth it, and it is better to dye and cut your hair at a certain time in order to attract good luck in love, career or money. Feng shui specialist Marites Allen (maritesallen.com ) will tell us how it works.  

When choosing a hairstyle using the feng shui method, basically two indicators need to be taken into account: the shade of the hair and the haircut option. And the whole calculation, of course, we start with your item and date of birth. It is necessary to reconcile your image with your personal element – it is earth, fire, water, wood or metal. By choosing the perfect combination, you can harmonize your internal energy with external, which, in turn, will help in all areas of life: relationships, career, health and general well-being.

Gua number

First, you need to determine your Gua number. This number is used in feng shui to determine your favorable and unfavorable direction. Gua indicates a person’s personal energy. For some, one direction may be beneficial, bring good luck in business, promote health and success, while for another it may not be suitable at all. To find out which is right for you, you need to calculate the Gua number.

The search for the personal Gua number, or spiritual number, depends on the year of birth. Add up the last two digits of your year of birth, and if you end up with a two-digit number, add up the numbers as well. So, for example, if you were born in 1968, the calculation is: 6 + 8 = 14, 1 + 4 = 5.

For women: take the resulting number and add 5 (or 6 if you were born after 2000). In our example, it turned out 5, so it will continue like this: 5 + 5 = 10, 1 + 0 = 1. That is, the number of Gua for a woman born in 1968 is 1.

For men: Subtract this number from 10 (or from 9 if you were born after 2000). For a man born in 1968, we calculate: 10 – 5 = 5, therefore, the Gua number is 5.

This table will help you choose the most successful haircut according to your personal Gua number.

In the table, each Gua number corresponds to a different shape that represents a region of life. The shapes also correspond to the auspicious element of feng shui, which, in turn, suggests successful patterns and shades.

This table presents the shapes to match the different elements, the suggested shade and haircut style.

For example, if you drop a tree as a personal element, long, straight hair from light brown to medium brown is fine.

“ We all have an intelligent and attractive style. I was born in 1968, so my Gua number is 1. My long wavy hair is my intelligence style, blue is my intelligence color. Red is the color for fame and popularity. Knowing your lucky shades in feng shui is very helpful. You can also use them when choosing a shade of not only hair, but also eyeshadow and lipstick to attract good luck through beauty. Those who were born under the water element are advised to choose black, blue and gray colors. Red, pink, purple are great for fire signs. For wooden signs – green and brown tones. For earth signs – cream and beige shades. And for metal signs are best suited white, gold and silver “ , – says Allen.

Feng shui hairstyles

To be in harmony with yourself, it is best to love the natural state of your hair. If something goes wrong with you, the first tip is to remove hair styling devices (irons, curling irons) away and leave your hair as it is: straight or, conversely, curly.

If you often have conflicts, be it with friends, family or colleagues, gather your hair in a bun and secure it as low as possible, almost at the back of your head. This hairstyle will help smooth out conflicts and more gently convey your point of view.

Pull your hair into a high ponytail for concentration and energy.

For a successful date, it is best to leave your hair loose, it should bring you closer to your partner.

Long or short?

Owners of naturally long and naturally thick hair are doubly lucky: such hair not only looks luxurious, but also gives a woman vitality, energy and endurance, which undoubtedly helps in any situation. That is why such hair is not recommended to be cut short. For example, you decide to turn your waist-length curls into a short bob, but this is fraught with apathy, you will be more tired and lazy. If the hair, usually thick, begins to fall out, this may indicate the influence of negative energy, the source of which will have to be disposed of in order to return the hair to its previous gorgeous state.

Feng Shui experts recommend cutting your hair after a long illness, separation, divorce or powerful quarrels, because a lot of destructive negative energy accumulates in the hair. You can choose a good day for a haircut by contacting a specialist or by yourself calculating according to the lunar calendar. Before an important event, for which you have been walking or preparing for a long time, it is not recommended to get a haircut, because it can affect its outcome, but after the completion of an important matter, a haircut is welcomed.

According to feng shui, bangs are not the best element of the hairstyle, it makes its owners more vulnerable and overly trusting.

Due to the fact that hair is capable of accumulating various kinds of energy, feng shui experts do not recommend doing extensions, because together with other people’s hair you take on energy, which does not necessarily turn out to be positive.

Cutting your hair according to the phases of the moon

Cutting hair during moon growth causes hair to grow rapidly.

A haircut during a period when the moon is waning, on the contrary, is effective in slowing down hair growth. This secret is useful for those who prefer short haircuts: you can keep the shape of your hair longer and allow your hair to grow stronger.

Hair cutting on the full moon is the best solution, since it is during the full moon that it is recommended to make drastic changes in appearance.

Cutting hair for the new moon, especially in a new style, is considered unsuccessful in Feng Shui, however, you can trim the ends slightly.
