Last August 8, 2008, Marites Allen attended the 18th anniversary of the Belo Medical Group via the Venetian Ball at The Shangri-La Makati.  Guests, including Marites, wore medieval costumes, complete with headdress and accessories. Marites wore no less than the same 17th century-inspired ball gown wore by Hollywood Award winner Kirsten Dunst on the 2006 film, Marie Antoinette.
Venetian masks were given along with a mirror and special boxes containing Belo Essentials products.  Special guest was Dita Von Teese, the queen of strip tease, flown in from abroad exclusively for this event.  This event also marked the launching of the new charity project of Ms. Vicky Belo.  This foundation aims to help indigents born with harelips, birth defects, etc. to avail of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
