Barely two weeks after her successful Feng Shui Extravaganza, World of Feng Shui (WOFS) Philippines President and CEO Marites Allen was back in Cebu as a resource person in the recently concluded Chowking Franchise Convention. This time, Marites was joined in her special feng shui segment by popular TV host Boy Abunda. In an unscripted, freewheeling-type of presentation, the country’s top feng shui practitioner and the local king of talk went through the general outlook for various industries, the political situation, as well as specific prospects for different animal signs. It was inevitable, given Boy Abunda’s style, to stumble on some private truths about certain popular personalities.

In one specific instance, Abunda recalled an incident involving the late President Cory Aquino. He related how Marites was asked by his good friend Kris Aquino sometime in July last year to identify critical dates for President Cory, who was then still confined at the Makati Medical Center. Based on the President’s destiny chart, Marites listed several dates which are in conflict with her animal sign and her unfavourable elements. For some reason, Marites highlighted August 1 as probably the most inauspicious date for the then ailing President. The beloved leader died in the early hours of August 1, 2009 at 3.18 a.m. which is actually a Tiger day and a Tiger hour, both clashing with the former President’s animal sign which is Monkey.

Their talk also provided some insider view on the Kris-James relationship, which has been plagued by controversies. Kris is quite open about the fact that she consults Marites for the layout of her home and uses a feng shui almanac to guide her through important contract signings. The king of talk also has disclosed that around two (2) years ago, Marites found that Kris’s kitchen was located in the Southwest, which is the romance and relationship sector. This was virtually burning the marriage, she noted. The actress/TV host was advised to relocate her kitchen to ease out marital tension in her home. In the process, her friend Boy Abunda inherited her old kitchen fixtures, which added up to a fortune.

Abunda likewise shared that both he and Kris are avid users of the WOFS feng shui almanac and Marites Allen feng shui planner, a valuable guide for one’s daily activities. Kris, especially, will not sign any contract unless she has consulted the almanac and is convinced that a specific day or hour is auspicious for scheduling events or sealing contracts.
