Understanding one’s personal destiny chart gives us a perspective of who we are and what we are capable of achieving.  Not too many people know, however, that destiny charts also apply to buildings and even countries. As a Filipina feng shui practitioner now based in Oxford, England, I have taken it upon myself to analyze the chart of the Philippines. The special characteristics and auspicious stars our country was born with have given me much sense of pride and joy.

Using our Independence Day, we can actually generate the Philippines’ birth chart.  Thus, June 12, 1898, as pushed by former President Diosdado Macapagal, would produce the following

Four Pillars chart for the Philippines:

Date of Birth : 12 June 1898

Current Age :  113

Four Pillars chart for the Philippines:

From the above birth chart we can see that the Philippines is a Female with an Earth Dog zodiac sign as shown in its Year Pillar.  Both the earthly branch of the month and the day pillar are represented by Yang Fire Horse. The Hour Pillar’s earthly branch is a Yang Water Rat.

The brief analyses of what we can deduce from the Philippine’s Main Chart are as follows:

That the Philippines is a female, and its astrological zodiac sign is a Dog, makes her a secret friend to a Rabbit and ally with the Tiger and Horse.  As we all know in feng shui, the Dog  clashes with the Dragon – therefore, we have to watch out in 2012, which is the year of the Dragon.

The above chart is also dominated by three (3) Yang Fire and three (3) Yang Earth energy indications.  The Fire element is very bright and shiny, but is being tempered by dry earth. This reflects people who are very expressive and prone to anger or dissatisfaction about many things, which can be resolved amicably.  As far as careers are concerned, this characteristic makes us very flexible, enabling us to adapt to any job that comes our way.

Our auspicious stars

The following stars present in the chart also indicate some defining characteristics of Filipinos:

STATUS STAR:   This means that Filipinos are born and destined to achieve many great things that will bring honor to the country.

BRIGHT SKY STAR: This reflects perseverance despite hardship, akin to the favorite expression “there is always light at the end of the tunnel”.  History tells us that we, Filipinos, always weather every crisis.

GENERAL STAR :  Normally, the presence of one (1) General Star is already a very good sign, but the Philippine’s birth chart has three (3) of such star.  This means that Filipinos can aspire to be good leaders, are made of excellent CEO material, are effective multitaskers and superb organizers!

STAR OF ART :  Filipinos are great talents and make such creative artists, singers, dancers, painters, fashion designers, actors, actresses, models with world-class entertainment skills and would excel in anything related with performing arts.  Other industries that are good for us are IT and media, advertising and promotions, electrical and electronics.  It makes perfect sense to nurture these skills and develop a vast pool of talents that we could send abroad.

FLOWER OF ROMANCE :  We belong to a race composed of very passionate, loving, hospitable, and lively people.  No wonder, we are recognized internationally not only for our looks but also for our capabilities and intelligence. I’m a particularly proud Pinoy myself.  My British husband loves me and my kids dearly, this I can say without doubt!

LUNAR VIRTUE STAR : We are blessed with this very unusual and the second best Star that anyone can ever have.  This means that opportunities abound for us and it is up to us to make use of them.  In order for this auspicious star to shine, we have to be more God-fearing and prayerful.

LUCK OF THE PHILIPPINES IN 2011:

In the 10-year luck pillar of the Philippines, 2010-2019 are favorable times.  We just have to be careful during the year of the Dragon (2012) as it clashes with the Philippines Year of the Dog chart.

PEACE AND ORDER:

·           Although it looks peaceful on the outside, there is a lot of hidden agenda underneath; once agitation starts and becomes uncontrollable, there could be threats to peace and order. In general, WE MUST ALWAYS BE VIGILANT AND EXERCISE CAUTION (especially Rabbit- and Rooster-born people) and watchful on the dates around March 19 and 31, as well as April 10 and 22.
