Health is Wealth

May 10, 2007

Today, marks the very first year of my regular column with Standard Today. Surely, time passed quickly and I hardly noticed it. Many thanks to our readers who continuously send their inspiration and feng shui queries. With all your collective questions about health and how feng shui can help, here is another exciting revelations to you…

So you think you can go on and on working just like the Energizer Bunny in that TV commercial ad? You don’t think those long hours of work you put in the office would not catch up on your health? Well newsflash, my avid readers: it will and it definitely can! Just because you don’t feel anything odd now, it does not mean you’re all okay. We all know that some illnesses do not manifest its symptoms outright. When it does, it’s too late; and we’re left with stratospheric medical bills for diseases we could prevented in the first place. The younger ones should be wary of their health, too. There have been reports of twenty-year-olds getting mild heart attacks! In addition, kids in America are reportedly getting obese due to an unhealthy diet of fastfoods such as burgers, fries, shakes and other cholesterol-rich food. But in fairness to them, they are are doing something about it as their school cafeterias are introducing more fruits, salads, and vegetables in their menu.

In view of these startling health issues, everyone young and old should defend him/herself from illnesses. We should get enough rest, gets some exercise, eat the right food, and take some vitamins to boost our immune system. Here at World Of Feng Shui, we recommend those things and of course, a little bit of Feng shui does matter for enhancing your health. After all, if you’re sickly, you won’t be able to enjoy your wealth. Here are some pointers on improving your health, the feng shui way!

Remember that the illness stars (the deadly 5 Yellow and the 2 Illness star) are changing every year, so you should be aware of its location annually. This year of the Fire Boar 2007, the 5 Yellow Star is at the North East, so place the 5-element pagoda at this sector to ward it off. Its unique shape representing the five elements and metal composition will exhaust the energy of the star. Remove the top of the pagoda and fill it with some earth from your house’s or apartment’s compound to symbolically control and capture the 5 yellow star.

You can also use an all-metal hollow 6-rod windchime for remedy. The North East should not be disturbed either. No renovations, diggings, or knocking should be done here.

The 2 Black or Illness star is at the center this year making everyone susceptible to diseases. Those of poor health should definitely avoid sleeping these sectors. The 2 Black is an earth element which can be suppressed by a metal element such as the golden Wu Luo. Place it beside your bed to improve your health luck.

Furthermore, it would helpful too by tapping into the Tien Yi (literally “Heavenly Doctor) direction which is also known as the health & longevity direction, and the secondary wealth direction (the first is sheng chi). For those not feeling a 100 percent, it is helpful to orientate your bed so that the top of your head points toward that direction. Enhance also the Tien Yi of your house according to the following manner:

If your Kua Number is 1, your Tien Yi is East. You should display here large leafy green plants, and a green dragon. You should wear green jade dragon or double fish symbol as jewelry or motif.

If your Kua Number is 2, your Tien Yi is West. You should display here metal windchime or bells, crystal gem trees, 7 smooth crystal balls, and natural crystals. You should wear Golden dragon as jewelry or motif.

If your Kua Number is 5, and you are a male, your Tien Yi is West. You should display here metal windchime or bells, crystal gem trees, 7 smooth crystal balls, natural crystals. You should wear Golden dragon as jewelry or motif.

If your Kua Number is 5 and you’re a female, your Tien Yi is Northwest. You should display here metal windchime or bells, crystal gem trees, 6 smooth crystal balls, natural crystals and 6 golden Chinese coins. You should wear Golden dragon as jewelry or motif.

If your Kua Number is 6, your Tien Yi is Northeast. You should display here a facetted crystal drop, crystal wu lou, yang-colored candles, 8 smooth crystal balls, and natural crystals. You should wear a crystal dragon as jewelry or motif.
